Oooh...
Destiny's red eyes focused on the amulet, not even noticing the flames. The flames were the least of his worries. Don't take it... Be smart.
His curiosity got the best of him. He watched it so closely, and it came closer still, giving off the shine... The sparkly green shine... Destiny was being tortured. So badly he wanted to stroke it, to see if it was as smooth as it looked...
He had to clench his fist to stop himself from taking it. It was so amazing, like every treasure collector's dream...
I wonder if I can touch it...

Gash's face broke into an impish smirk as he noticed how captivated the griffin seemed by his little toy. "Wan' to touch it, mate?" he asked curiously, placing the amulet on the palm of his furry hand and holding it beneath Destiny's eyes. The sparks quit flying around the jewel and dissolved. However, the wolf was still ready to start them up again if needed.
As he observed Destiny, Gash's eyes narrowed in wonder. He had never really thought about it, but now he was curious of exactly where the amulet had come from. He remembered finding it on the ground half buried in snow when he was six or seven years old, and he had picked it up warily, in case it was dangerous. But as soon as his hand made contact with the cold green gems and the metal that held them together, a rush of courage, power, and adrenaline had flooded his body. He realized it boosted his abilities of creating his poisonous flames, and he was capable of doing so much more with it. Since then he had never let go of it. He either kept it on the same chain as his cross, or in his pocket. Nowhere else.

Destiny zapped out of his trance and his eyes glanced at the wolf. Should I? It's so cool, but...
"I better not," he decided. He wouldn't be stealing anything today. Well, as long as he could control himself. He shook his head to clear the thought of the amulet. I'll live without it.
... Right?
He frowned a little and crossed his arms coolly.

Gash nodded to himself. Any sane persone would've touched it, and if this guy wouldn't, then he was something worthy being suspicious of. "Royt, mate. Ah yew shuh? It won't boyt." He wanted to see just how controlled this guy was. And if the griffin really intended on stealing Gash's amulet, well the wolf would be ready.
The gems felt cold on Gash's paw, even through his thick fur. It was a warm feeling though, oddly enough. A feeling of power. Strength. And the most powerful, a feeling of calmess. That was what kept his awful temper from blazing up at the smallest of things.

Sighing mentally, Destiny scratched his head. Ehhhh... This guy is testing me or something... If he wouldn't of had a beak, he would of been biting his lip. One second won't do any harm, right?
Defeated, Destiny kind of shrugged. "Maybe just for a sec." He reached out his claw to poke at it. It felt so... Odd. In a good way. He quickly took his arm back before he got any ideas. With a half-hearted smirk, he looked up at Gash.
"Nothin' wrong with being wary, correct?"
Better safe than sorry....
Still... Something inside kept tugging him on and on, wanting to go back to the gem.

"If oy knew any beh'ah, oy'd say yoah a li'ul bit chicken," Gash mocked. He was still trying to see if Destiny would give up. It was very funny to watch the griffin try not to touch the amulet, and Gash was laughing inside, trying very hard not to smirk in satisfaction. "C'mon, mate. One li'ul tach wewn't huht yah! No need to be ovahly wary. It wewn't boyt," the wolf continued. He hoped to sound convincing, because he definitely didn't feel very convincing.

{{Kinda short, sorry D:}}
Destiny's eyes narrowed. "Look, man. I ain't chicken, I'm just cautious. And unless you want that fancy little gem of your around the neck of an unworthy padestrian, I suggest shutting up." He flexed his caws. The wolf was taunting him, oh yes, but he wouldn't give in so easily.
I'm not that unpowerful..

"Jus' a hawmless li'ul tach. Oy know yew wohnna." Gash was being plain cruel right now. He was still pushing the griffin. The wolf hoped to push too far. That was one of his qualities; being convincing. And hopefully this 'Destiny' would give in.
Gash's amulet was shining brightly now, being the center of attention made it glow intensly. Gash never understood why, but the amulet seemed to have a heart of its own. It didn't bother Gash, because it never actually did anything, but the green gems must have some sort of chaos energy because they seemed to know when people stared, or when they glared. The jewels would glow more when people were interested, and it would glow even more when people were jealous, or in this case, cautious.

"I know I want to, too," he muttered. Ugh. I should of seen this coming. He scratched his chin thoughtfully. Aaah, I have a way we can tell what's going on.
"May I predict your future?"
Yes, of course. The perfect idea. Destiny had always been able to read people's futures, twenty-four hours ahead or less. Maybe he could find out what was going to happen. Of course, futures could always change, but who knows?

Gash's eyes narrowed in suspicion. Maybe Destiny was planning to do something more than predict the future.. "Moest def'nettleh not." the wolf finally answered rudely. Then in a more relaxed voice he added, "Oy'd rahtuh not know wott's gunna hap'ehn to mey." He slipped the jewel back in his pocket and crossed his arms defensively.
