A gray she-cat walked down the frozen streets of the city, her dark green eyes just staring ahead as she walked, slightly torn bandages covering her light forearm, she'd have to change them eventually. Her clothes were torn too, but there was no blood anywhere, except for on her sleeve, atleast her fur and hair was in good shape.
Around her right wrist there was a bracelet of light green and blue energy, made in tiny little sections, floating and revoling around it like magic. Relka stopped and glanced around, it was cold, but she was used to it. "Huh... No camps on these streets..."

Warp backed away slowly. "Listen, guys, I don't what to have to do anything rash. You know how there are people out there with powers? Just because I don't tote them doesn't mean I don't have them." Well, at that, they looked a bit more uneasy, but they were still advancing. "Alright, you asked for it!" Specks flew across his eyes, a blizzard of black across a field of green, and just like that, he was gone.
And just like that, he appeared, more than a mile away, right in front of a girl with a wierd floaty bracelet. "GWAH!" The fox started in surprise, falling straight backwards. "Who what! Scared the crud outta me.... Well, then again," he said, getting back to his feet, "Like as not I did the same to you."
He took this time to take stock of his surroundings. Not that bad, as places go, he supposed, a bit more civilized than the quarter he had left. Here, they'd slit your throat for looking at the wrong. Where he was before, they'd do it even if you looked at them right. His attention refocused on the girl in front of him, wondering if she had anything to say before he introduced himself.

Relka stepped back and narrowed her eyes, her fur spiking up slightly. No one could be prepared for that, she definately wasn't prepared for his sudden entrance, but the surprise was nothing really, she'd seen enough in her lifetime, and it was alot different from this, alot more painful too.
"Who the h*ll are you?" She asked, very rudely actually, she didn't care much for being polite to people, even if you just met them, not anymore. The people she'd met throughout most of her life weren't like that...
"Sorry..." She said quietly, but to quiet for Warp to even hear.

Okay, he should have expected at least that much. He saw her lips move after the outburst, but couldn't make out what it was. "Sorry about scaring you. Didn't know you were here. Not that I was in a position to be choosy about where I wound up, and not that you being here makes any real difference, but hey."
He ran a hand through the fur on his head. "As to who I am, I'm Warp. Well, not really. Well, yeah, more of a moniker, but that's all you're getting. I don't like my name, see? Don't want anyone else calling it out in the open air. Sounds silly." He then extended his other hand, dropping the right. "How'll I call you?"

She extended her left hand and shook Warp's slowly, and cautiosly. "I'm Relka..." She smiled weakly and looked away and up towards one of the buildings, a frozen pillar of ice, the metal and cement sections were no longer clearly visible, but the windows could still be faintly seen through the ice.
"How old are you?"

"Eh? Oh, sixteen. I guess a case could be made for me looking older, seeing as my tail's quite long, which can be misleading." He dropped her hand, tilted his head, and smiled charmingly. "Why, how old do I look?"
His hands slipped into his back pockets as he took a step back, mostly to give Relka some breathing room. He had been kinda in her face since the onset, although in truth that wasn't either if their faults. Warp was a little uncomfortable around girls, especially the cute ones, mostly because he couldn't tell which were single and which were not. Which ones was he supposed to make a move on?
As if. He wasn't that good looking. At least, he didn't see anything special when he looked in a mirror, although a lot of people generally didn't, he supposed. With a sigh, he decided to treat her as taken unless she said otherwise and hope for the best that way.

"Two years younger atleast... I would've guessed atleast seventeen through..." She said slowly, taking a deep breath and letting out a sigh herself. Relka's ears twitched and she glanced around.
"Still, you shouldn't really be wandering... It's dangerous after all..."

"Didn't use to have a choice," Warp stated. His long tail wrapped loosely around his body, the white tip twitching up and down as he placed his hands in his pockets. "My warping problem actually used to be a problem in that I couldn't stay anywhere for more than ten minutes or so." The fox began rocking back and forth, staring up at the sky. "Sit around for a bit, then painfully explode, then explode again somewhere else. That was how I used to teleport." He shrugged. "But I got control now."
Hands came out of his pockets as he took a step or two to the side and folded them behind his head while leaning against the wall of a skyscraper. "That's my story. What's yours?"

Relka blinked and stared down at the ground, thinking of what to say, she didn't really want to talk about her life, she'd told the story to many times and was tired of telling everyone she came across about it. It just didn't matter anymore.
"That's not something I really want to talk about, sorry..."

"Hokai!" Warp pushed off the building, stepping precisely along the crack in the sidewalk, one foot in front of the other. "Everybody has skeletons in their closets. Sorta. I don't have a closet. Technically. Close enough." He stopped and turned to face Relka, a somewhat musing expression on his face.
That was somewhat of a conversation killer. Didn't want to talk about it, eh? Hmm, interesting. Well, none of Warp's business. He wasn't going to--
Wait. What was that?
He suddenly froze, looking past Relka, then started babbling about the weather, hoping that whoever it was didn't notice that he had noticed them. He mentioned snow, then looked up and muttered, barely in hearing range, "Someone's watching us," before lowering his head and going on about hopes for warmer weather soon.

Relka just silently listened or Pretened to, and slowly nodded when he told her they were being watched. Her ears twitched, trying to pick up any possible sounds from around them, but she didn't hear nothing.
"How old did you say you were again?" She didn't actually forget, but if you were trying to pretend to know you weren't being watched it helped to act like you didn't know, by talking about something besides the weather.

Warp broke off his monolouge. "What? Oh, sixteen." His eyes suddenly filled with black specks, flying across his irises, and he vanished.
Scorch was generally good at tailing people, but he didn't care much about what they were talking about. He had been following Relka mainly as practice. She was pretty, but not quite his type. Then he was curious about the fox that showed up out of nowhere. He'd started a conversation easily enough. For a second, it looked like he'd been spotted, but then the fox passed over him entirely. Talking about the weather. That wasn't the best way to pick up chicks.
And then the fox was gone. And then Scorch heard a voice behind him. "Why have you been watching us?" Okay, so he was spotted. If they started something, he could take them both. At least, he was pretty sure he could. So the teleport guy could run around a lot. Not that threatening. And the cat was a chick. Nothing to worry about there. Which was one of Scorch's greatest faults: he was a mysogenist and an egocentrist. He replied, smoothly, he thought. "Just practicing. Good skill to have, being invisible. I used to be a lot better, man."
Warp smiled politely. "Quite." His eyes swarmed, and he was gone again, back with Relka. "He says he's just practicing. Naturally, I assume he's going to try to kill us."
Scorch contemplated killing them. Sure, it wasn't all that likely they had wallets or money. Okay, just messing them up, then. No need to shine them. The fun is in the moment, of course. So he stepped into the open and began walking towards them. They wouldn't know what he was up to. Probably. Maybe. Unless they were paranoid. Like he was.
It isn't paranoia if they really are out to get you.

"Heh... Kill? Hurt? Whatever, I'd like to see him try..." She turned slowly, reaching into her pocket and pulling out long and sharp throwing knives, made of silver, held tightly between her fingers. Relka tossed them, and smiled, she liked violence, it was fun, and to her the world was just a game that you could only play once, but you could also do anything you wanted.
"Let's see you try to take me, you young rat!" She called out to him.

"Whoa, chika, settle yourself." Scorch raised his hands and stepped slowly, making sure his pistol was still concealed in his jacket. His brown, jagged quills ruffled in a slight breeze, but he didn't shiver despite the chill. The pyromaniac hedgehog had increased the general heat around him to a more comfortable level by letting fire flow though his body, but not letting it show outside his skin.
Scorch flicked a glance at Warp. The guy even looked like a wuss. His power sort of emphasized that; he must be real good at running away like a little girl. "My name is Scorch. I was shadowing you to make sure that I was good at not being seen. No harm, no foul, right?" Yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warp sighed, and sort of relaxed. Well, okay he might be a little more trustworthy than initially percieved. It did not seem like Scorch was going to throw punches, not after he introduced himself like that. "I'm Warp." He looked aside, waiting to see if Relka would do the same. He wasn't entirely thrown off by her warning, because that was his first impression, too.

Relka growled and rolled her eyes, she didn't trust him, infact she didn't trust alot of people. Relka probably didn't even trust Warp too much, but he was someone to talk to and she didn't feel like torturing or killing people right now, she was... in a "good" mood.
"I don't care what your name is... you're still a d*mn rat..."
