Quick! We need to secure the lifelines before we lose the speciman!
The danger level is off the charts! Doc! We need to get out...
CRASHHH!!!
AAAHHHH! Leo's down! I repeat, Leo's down! This place is gonna fall down around us! Doc!
Fine! Evacuate all personel! NOW!!
CRASH! CRASH! BOOOOOM! CRASH!! RUMBLERUMBLERUMBLE! CRASH!BOOM!CRASHCRASHBOOMCRASHRUMBLEBOOM!!!
And then I awoke.
Tempest opened his eyes in the liquidy supstance that encased him. It instantly stung them like hot knives going through them. He shut them and tried to scream, but all that came out was bubbles. When he went to breath in, all the came was the liquid. He started hacking, which didn't help. The glass sheet that was covering his exit was the only thing blocking him. He summoned up his strength to break the glass. He pucnched it until he could not anylonger, then punched it some more, each time his hand hurting more until he broke out of the tube and lay there on the floor, breathing in huge, sudden gasps, numerous wires still attached to his body.
Tempest layed there for what seemed like hours. After he regained the strength to stand up, he crawled over to the nearest stable structure and, with much dificulty, was able to stand. He scanned the room, looking for things, studying the surroundings. There were large pieces of rock and a lot of destruction. It looked like it hadn't been used for at least a decade. He walked over to a computer that looked like it had survived the apocalypse that had befallen this room. He groped around the terminal and found the power button. After a long time of the silence being filled with 'clicks' and 'whirs', the computer started. It showed a body of a hedgehog. On the sides of it, there were many statistics of it, conditions, everything. All of them showed 'Offline' since he was diconnected. -So...what is this?-
Tempest stared at the screen, taking in the numerous bits of info. -Project S-2, codename Tempest.- He clumsily looked around for a keyboard, but accidently touched the screen and a new screen popped up. -Touch sensitive.- He flipped through the pages of the project. -DNA taken from Sonic...perfect match...data from Project:Shadow...Sleep-teaching used- He didn't understand any of this jumbled mess. He shut down the computer and looked around the room. He smelled something he hadn't smelled before. He didn't know what this smell was. He went over to a pile of rocks where the smell was strongest. He pulled up a few of them...and found something grotesque. A human, rotting from existence. He looked at the nametag. -Leo...- Next to him, he found a card. It had also survived. He took it and went over to what looked like a door and slid the card through an odd device. The door opened with some effort, and he crossed the threshold into the hallway.
The hallway wasn't much different from the room he was previously it. The ceiling had collapsed in many of the directions, wires hung from the still hanging sections while glass littered the floor. He entered another room. He was starting to get lost because everything looked the same. He walked over to a table that had a pair of shoes on them. A note sat next to them. "For Project:Tempest. Shoes made from tougher stuff than Sonic's." -Sonic...why does his name keep popping up?- Since no one was around, he slipped on the shoes and he gasped. They were a perfect fit.
Tempest left the room and continued down the hall. The destruction became more and more intense and on a higher scale, if you can believe that. As he proceeded he thought he heard a mechanical shift in gears behind him, but he saw nothing. He shrugged, thinking that it was his paranoia, and kept on. He found what looked like the exit, and managed to pry it open. A cold rush knocked him back as snow and ice started to cover the exit. He ran out just before the exit closed. He looked back at a sign by the door. "Hmm...secret...sonic...research...facility..." Most of the words after that were to faded to read. Tempest shivered as he trudged on. Something inside told him to run, but his legs were to frozen...or so he liked to have thought. He decided to listen to his instincts and run...and the rest was a blur.
Meanwhile...
"Excellent. After 10 years, the green hedgehog has decided to awaken. And not a moment to soon. Now, I can finally take over the world! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"
The white dullness faded from view as Tempest sped on. The color quickly changed to a mundane brown, then some green speckled here and there, then everywhere. Tempest stopped, which took a bit to do. He was so unused to running that he toppled over and skidded for the next 300 yards before coming to a halt. He laid there, his face hurting, his whole body shaking from the adrenaline rush he had from such speed. He threw up then and there, stayed laying in it for quite some time until someone came along. It was a girl. "Oh my...wow..." She put her hand over her mouth as if to stop the income of air from the gasp. She ran off yelling "SOMEONE...ANYONE...HELP!!"
