((Reserved for Sol))
"You know this is where I met Relka? Well, no, this isn't' where I met her. I met her in a bank and she tried to have my insides scraped along the floor. Rather, I prefer to think I met her here because this is where she and I actually started getting along and I got to know her true side. Know what I mean?"
In all honesty, Zale didn't give a dang what his uncle met, but his teeth were chattering too hard to say as much. Zale, the usually hyper, happy, excited, irrepressible Zale was irritable, frustrated, and short-tempered, and the only reason why he didn't release all of this pent-up rage was because it was just too--dang--cold!. Zale winced and tried to glare up at Pyran, but the cat wasn't watching.
"Yea, good times," Pyran mused, purring a little. Zale scowled. Look at him! He wasn't even shivering! It had to be below zero right now, the snow was flying in, the wind was insane, and Pyran had taken the liberty of deciding to take shelter in nothing more or less than a bridge over a frozen channel. It didn't even do anything to ward off the wind! At least not that Zale could tell.
"W-wh-where a-are th-th-th...th-they?" Zale managed through clenched teeth, the cold air stinging his lungs with each breath.
"Oh, I don't know!" Pyran growled in exasperation. "Stop...asking me that. We've been all the way over Soleanna, all over the foothills. I don't know where they are... I just...thought if I came back to something familiar.... I don't know. I could always find Relka here." Pyran curled up his tail around him and Zale felt a small pang of sympathy. He was so stressed out with worry about Hikari he hadn't considered that Pyran was suffering too.
The world's a vast place, and two people are awfully small, and awfully hard to find in the midst of it.

Air pushed againest the frozen water of the channel, as an airboard and his rider moved along the solid water, the engines didn't make any sound. The black and crimson airboard had silent engines, which most of the advanced racing models had, unlike the normal models, which made noise, no matter how queit the engines were.
The rider was wearing a coat, not too thick, but enough to prevent the cold from going throughout her body too quickly, she drifted up the slope of the channel far from Pyran and Zale, then onto the flat path that was low enough to pass under the bridge, which some cyclists took when the Ice Age hadn't claimed the world.
She slowed, still a bit from them and took off her hood, shaking her head slightly and letting out a sigh. "Miss me?" She asked, from behind, since Hikari believed they wouldn't have noticed her.

Pyran had barely registered her but, unable to smell her, didn't really care--until now. Zale was caught completely by surprise, the dark snowcat twisting around, his mouth open in shock. "Hikari!"
He got up and rushed her, immediately grabbing her in a tight hug, despite how her coat was covered with ice! Ah well, Zale was so cold he didn't think it made a difference. "Y-you're here! Where w-were you?"
"Where's Relka? How'd you find us?" Pyran added, getting to his feet and also rushing to their side. But he waited his turn to wrap his daughter in his loving arms. Zale and Hikari were close, he knew, and always had been. They were like twins, almost--born at the same time, at any rate, even if it was from different mothers. Heh, the genealogy surrounding this family was so out of whack.

Hikari hugged her father as soon as she had the chance, stepping off her airboard, which Zale almost knocked her off of when he hugged her. She pulled back slowly. "She's-" Hikari was cut off suddenly as someone else dropped down from one of the overhanging sections of the bridge above them.
"Impatient? Huh? Kitten?" Relka stood there, brushing herself off, her ragged and bloody clothes covered in a bit of snow and small bits of ice. "I didn't think my little soft kitty cat was like that. Maybe you would've been better off as Ross... Etheir way... You both look cute, and act tough." She rushed forward, even through that she'd caused some trouble earier and attacked them, she hugged Pyran tightly and kissed him. "I missed you."

Pyran hesitated, still a little offended by her comment, but then hugged her back warmly. "Heh. Ross is dead, thank you very much. Don't bring him up." He pulled back and looked at her with appraising eyes. "So how is it that my daughter isn't dead? You were um...quite...not yourself..." he trailed off, grimacing, wondering what her reaction would be.
Zale stepped back from the group. He had to admit that he felt a touch out of place--Relka, Hikari, and Pyran were all family, or at least adopted family, and Zale might also be more closely related than your average cousin, but still, this wasn't quite his family. But he grinned, showing off his chattering teeth. "C-can we talk about it ins-s-side? S-somewhere?"

Hikari sighed, she was pretty used to the cold, because of all the warmth her plasma energy gave her, and her mother was too, because of the metal plating underneath her skin.
Relka sighed. "Sorry, boredom really... Gets at me, makes me want to hurt people..." She stared over at Zale a nodded slowly, turning towards the concrete wall that was slightly slanted, there was a metal door. "Over here, this is a service room I used to stay in before you guys were even born. Atleast two years before, I'll break it open."

Pyran's ear swiveled towards the door but his head didn't turn, looking at it out of the corner of his eye. "Heh. I always thought that was a maintenance closet or something for the local fishermen to use."
Zale could only manage a miserable groan as he continued to shake like mad. Ice might be his element, but that only meant he dealt with the cold a little bit better than others. It didn't mean he could stand out in negative 50 degree temperatures for hours!
"Oh, by the way...you owe me an explanation," Pyran said in a low voice to Relka, not an argumentative tone, more of an askance.

Relka smashed the lock on the door, easily pulling it open, and it wasn't frozen shut etheir. Inside the room was pretty large and wel lit, Hikari pulled Zale in quickly, so he could warm up.
"I know..." Relka nodded and walked inside. "Hurry up and get in, and close the door."
It was pretty big inside, there were cabinents and a small kitchen, a few beds too and a storage closet, there was even two bathrooms behind dark brown doors. The place actually looked clean, so obviously it wasn't used much.

Zale didn't protest when he was yanked in, but he stood frozen, shivering and still letting out faint whimpers. Pyran raised his eyebrows in slight alarm. Was it really that bad out there? He hadn't noticed because it never bothered him, even if he could faintly feel it...he should have been paying attention! Pyran reached out and grabbed Zale's arm to steady him, but Zale jerked away.
"Y-you're c-c-cold as a corpse!"
Pyran flinched at that comment. "Well thanks. I am a corpse." He sighed and took a second to look around, then grabbed a chair nearby and broke the legs off with sudden ease. "We need a fire going...Zale, go lay down. And...we need a chimney or something..." He frowned for a second. "Hey Relka, could you...I don't know, do something?"

Relka frowned. "I'm not going to blow a hole in the roof? Are you nuts?' She shook her head and pulled out a knife, stabbing it into the palm of her hand and sliding it slowly, there was a click and a few broken missiles of hers dropped to the floor. She reached down and picked them up, pulling some of the plugs apart and reattaching them then, then they suddenly grew warm and she placed them againest the wall near the floor. "There... A heater, you happy?"
Hikari hugged Zale tightly, using her energy to carefully transfer heat to him. "Feeling better now?"
"You know... She's starting to look just like you, even act like you a little... Ever since you abandond her, and yeah, she told me that." Relka whispered, walking over to Pyran.

"N-n-nn-no," Zale stuttered. But he actually did feel a tiny bit better. It just hurt. The cold can hurt. He sat down next to Relka's makeshift heater and Pyran threw a blanket from one of the beds at him.
Then Pyran gently gestured for Relka to join him as he sat on the end of the bed, his hands on the edge of it, looking up at her. "Don't....look, I know it was dumb. It was worse. I'm a terrible father. But..." But Pyran didn't want to talk about it...who would? He was still haunted by that night. The night he lost the woman he was now so close to. He felt that old ache in his heart, that aching for her, even though she was right there. And it hurt so much.

Hikari sighed, sitting next to her brother nad adjusting the blanket so it covered enough of him to keep him warm, his clothes weren't helping etheir, since he'd been outside for hours. But she was still transferring energy into him to keep him warm, which took some of her warmth away, even if it would come back later on.
Relka sat beside Pyran and sighed, listening to every single word. "You're stupid too, if you would've checked my pulse... You would've noticed I was still alive, the bullet struck one of my metal plates... and some of my nerves, nothing more." She put and arm around him and smiled."You need to relax... You're a great father, well.. for an undead guy. You shoul be happy... Now shut up and relax..."
Hikari pulled her hands away from Zale, letting a bit of smoke drift off them, and letting the heat flow back into her after she'd finished giving Zale some of her own warmth. Hopefully that'd help him. "Heh Zale... This is kinda funny... I'm twenty five and I still spend time with my parents and my brother... Maybe the next time we run across one of those camps I should consider getting a boyfriend."

((Heh, I love Zale. He's a weakling, but he's still awesome. I think I'll eventually make him better at fighting and this stuffs. Zale: What, you'll make me paranoid like Pyran? Hyper: Maaaybe...))
Pyran really couldn't follow her advice, shoulders hunching up and him curling up on himself. "You didn't...oh." He sounded distant, a little numbed by that. "But...then why didn't you come back? I mean...Hikari was just with Wraith, and...and I freaking buried you! How'd you get out?" Pyran remembered that quite clearly. And the thought of being buried alive...was she really alive? Pyran could have killed her by doing that...
Zale perked his ears, still shivering, but suddenly grinning. He did feel better."Hikari...you know, I've been waiting years for you to say that. You know, every time I started getting a girlfriend you dragged me off into the mountains for another aimless week of living off rock. It's about time you started talking to real people. You know, besides family."

"Shh, keep your voice down... and if you wanna bury someone, try harder... Really, two feet of dirt? Please... That's nothing..." She sighed and leaned againest him, hugging him tightly.
"I remember when I revived you with the machine... You were a big baby, complaing about everything. I couldn't even hug you without you being in pain... and now, you're doing it again... But I don't even have to touch you... Just stoping being a little baby."
Hikari smiled. "If it wasn't for the fact that you're my brother, that you're part of my family... I'd go after you as my boyfriend, but... Oh well... This is gonna be so hard... And with dad around, he'd scare everyone off." She lowered her head and sighed.

Pyran suddenly scowled. "Fine, if that's what you want. Sorry for feeling a little emotional about my dead wife coming back from her grave." He made a move to punch her shoulder--not hard, mind you, but enough to jostle her. Besides, the woman had metal under her skin. She could handle it. "Heh, sometimes you're a real brat."
Zale flinched a little at that revelation. Okay, that was wrong. "Um...thanks? But anyways, maybe you should try to break off from us a little? Or maybe you and I could leave for Soleanna--they're pretty advanced there despite the cold and there's tons of people. And we can leave Uncle Pyran and Aunt Relka to their second honeymoon. Look, they're doing well already." He grinned as he turned to glance at them, seeing Pyran make the move.
