Genesis found himself at a ruined, cold shrine after a long journey, and decided to rest for the moment. Being superior to any human, thanks to his Jenova cells, he didn't need to rest for long. In addition, he made a mental note to beware the cold. Though it would take longer, even he could fall victim to hypothermia if he wasn't careful, and he didn't feel like creating a bonfire with his own magic.
"Infinite in mystery is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky," he reminded himself, once again quoting LOVELESS, the epic he loved so much. He laid on his back, being careful to fold his wing so it wouldn't be injured, and looked up at the starry, cloudless night sky. He thought of Sephiroth and Angeal, both of whom had fallen to Zack Fair's blade before he himself had. He knew Angeal despised being a monster, and thus would remain in the Lifestream, but Sephiroth...
"I really hope I don't have to save the world from Sephiroth," he muttered quietly. "I wish things didn't come to this..."

A hooded figure was crossing the area and decided to rest at he shrine. He found one of the steps and had a seat and then started to think about where he was going. And then he pulled out his blue bag and rumaged through it for something to eat. He pulled out a piece of meat and then he chomped down on it. He let out a loud belch and then he pulled out a map to see if he could get where he was at this moment.

The man in red was getting cold, so he went ahead and pointed his rapier at a stack of old logs nearby, setting it aflame with a shot of fire. He sighed, hoping that there was something or someone nearby who could tell him what this place was like.
"Oh, Minerva, why did you lead me here...?" he wondered aloud. He rubbed his arms, sitting nearer to the fire he just lit. He remembered that Zack had been friends with a young man named Cloud Strife. He wondered vaguely how Cloud was doing, but then shifted his thoughts to where he should be going from his current position. He noticed a black, cloaked figure on the horizon, who was apparently looking at a map of some kind. However, Genesis wasn't the type to ask for help, so he remained where he was.

The figure twitched a little at the sound of a fire being lit and he turned to find the source of the sound. The figure got up and proceeded in the general direction of the noise. It got closer to another figure that was sitting near the fire and then approached cautiously. The figure said "Hello." in a clam voice and then strided near the fire to get a better view of the other figure.

"Hello," Genesis replied without moving. His short, red hair moved slightly with the breeze. His blue eyes stared off towards the horizon. He held his rapier in his hand still, but if he wanted to attack, he wouldn't still be sitting down. For the same reason, he didn't view this man as a threat.

The figure looked at the human like being in front of him and then started to speak. "So what are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere? It is pretty cold out here." He said as he scratched the back of his head. "Yeah I'm lost and I don't know where I am going. All I know is that I am glad to be out of my village and out in the world."

"I arrived here on a long journey," Genesis explained. "I'm not here by coincidence, however. Everything happens for a reason."
He sighed and stood up. "Unfortunately, this world is unfamiliar to me. I don't know where anything is, nor do I know who anyone is."
After a few days of gathering information, Genesis flew off for a new destination. He carried with him a powerful purple gem that he was told was a Chaos Emerald. He had to burn up a lot of monsters to get it, but it was no effort for him. He had sharpened his blade, pocketed the Chaos Emerald, and flew off towards Whitewind Village to find the Ultimate Lifeform...whatever or whomever that was.
"It better not be Sephiroth," he muttered to himself mid-flight.
