After a moment or two of focus Koh breathed out and smirked as he looked over to the elevator. He quickly followed Warp over to the elevator and stepped inside. As the doors closed Koh began to think, Such strange thought patterns.....was it part machine? I couldn't completely register its brain waves. What could be doing this? Is it toying with us, or perhaps just looking for company? I guess we're about to find out if we made a big mistake.
"She's up on the thir'y-firs' floor, wha'eveh she is. She's no' tryin' to deceive us, mate," Koh explained to Warp, although he wasn't sure if the fox was paying attention to him with the way he was acting. He looked to be in a rough state, especially with that previous head injury. "Yeh don' look so good, mate. Bes' take i' easy, eh?"

The elevator made its way up to the 31st floor. When the doors opened, they revealed a very comfortable-looking lounge. There were sofas and chairs, as well as doors off to the side that led into small offices. The offices were sealed in an attempt to make to lounge a bit warmer. In the center of the room stood a large, black column, approxomately ten feet across, and stretching from the floor to the ceiling. Slightly to the right of the column was a female centaur. Her skin was reddish-purple, and had red markings on it. Her hair, tail, and hair by the hooves was the same red. Her eyes were red. The only clothing she wore was a violet tanktop. She seemed to be talking to the ferrets, but turned around when they elevator opened. "Hiya!" She greeted cheerfully. "I'm Berry. It's really nice to meet you." When she noticed Warp, her face grew a little concerned. "Are you alright? There's a sofa, if you'd like to lay down for a bit."

"Tylenol. For the love of God, Tylenol!" The agonized fox staggered his way to the couch, collapsing cautiosly enough not to unduely jar his head. It hurt enough as it was. The fox had not bothered to look over their host, but instead closed his eyes and buried his face in a corner of the couch, something that some people did as though hiding his head would hide the pain. It didn't work.
Nevertheless, Warp left his head sticking into the couch, mumbling "Tylenol.... Advil.... Excedrin.... Vicadin for God's sake...." and other painkillers, some more concentrated than others. His long tail flopped pathetically to the floor, as though he had not the strength to control it. "If I could knock myself out without my head hurting more, I would."

Koh waited quietly with his arms at his side and a seemingly blank look on his face as the elevator ascended and the rather annoying music played to try and help pass the time. When the doors slid open and the lounge room came into view, Koh was a bit surprised that it wasn' a trap of some sort......or at least, it didn't appear that way yet. He heard the voice of their host and watched Warp stumble over to the couch, practically yelling from the pain in his head.
He then turned to Berry, the host of this strange little occasion. At first Koh was a bit awestruck that the female who had called them here was a centuar, but then he quickly spun around away from her and began twidling his thumbs as he spoke, "Uhhh...'ello the'e, miss. I'm Koh and tha's Wo'p. Any particuleh reason yeh colled us in 'ehe?" He said as he looked over his shoulder, blushing a bit beneath his gray fur.
Cor...blimey. Didn' think the bird would be so cute. She's defini'ely an odd one, though. Neveh seen a pe'son with fou' legs. Oh well. Can' be too bad, eh?

Berry turned her attention to Warp first. "There might be some painkillers, though I don't know if they're still good..." She turned to the ferrets. "You guys find a bottle that has one of the names he said on it, and there's free lunch!" That sent the ferrets running in all directions. "Hopefully they'll find some." She then turned to face Koh. "No major one. I just wanted some company. It gets a little lonely in here, as the ferrets don't really talk too much." A small grey sphere floated from behind the column over to Warp, the to Koh, then over to Berry. "Oh, there you are, Bou! Meet Warp and Koh." She motioned to each of them as she spoke their name. "Warp, Koh, this is Bou, or Bit-O-Uncle." Bou turned into a green diamond as he agreed with "Yes." in a funny computery voice. "And, going back to the question, I was also a little curious. I was watching the outside, when you two suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I've never met anyone who could do something like that."

Warp raised a hand, head still buried, and his muffled voice rose from the cushions. "My fault. I'm not explaining it all again." Then, he pointed at the cockney-speaking Echidna. "You're up, Koh." Then his hand fell, and he conentrated on not feeling anything at all, which didn't work. Even moving his jaw hurt, and the hand he was sorta lying on went back up to his skull as he awaited the bliss of painkillers.
It was possible that the horsie-person could understand the complex version, which Warp was curious to know, but the simplistic version was more likely to be understood. And remembered. The fox doubted Koh remembered the long version, and frankly, even if he did, his accent would butcher it beyond recognition. And Warp wasn't going to say anything he didn't have to.

Koh kept his back to the host. He didn't mean to be rude.....he was just a tad.....embarrassed? to be around her. ""Eh, well, Wo'p oveh the'e is a space-time anomaly. He can manipula'e the space tha' his body takes up, and reposition it anywhere in the curren' time wifou' disruptin' space or time. To pu' i' shor'ly, he can teleport anywhere in ou' plane o' space in the curren' time. He colls i' wo'pin', jus' like 'is name."
Koh did finaly manage to turn and face Berry, although he still didn'tmake eye contact, and generally just kept looking out the window to the other skyscraper across the street. "Sorreh if I seem a bi' shy. I'm....nervous 'round the pre''y ladies...eheheheh." He scratched the back of his head with his left hand as he said this to Berry, letting out a weak chuckle after he spoke.

Berry's eyes sparkled. "Really? That's awesome!" The ferrets soon came bounding into the room, several of them jumping onto Warp while holding a medicine bottle. "Oh, make sure it's still good." She told Warp, slightly concerened that it was expired, then faced Koh again. "It's okay, about being shy that is. I've worked with some people who were like that all the time around those of the opposite gender." She folded her legs so that she was in a comfortable lying position. "Why don't you take a seat too, Koh?"

Warp finally withdrew from his man-made refuge, inspecting the bottle through squinted eyes with a wince. "Excedrin. This stuff keeps forever." Without hesitation, he unscrewed the cap, and was about to pour some into his hand when he noticed the seal unbroken. "Good deal," the fox said enthusiastically, popping the seal with his thumb and pouring out two.
He gave a quick scan for water, found none, and intead popped them dry, something he was unfortunately accustomed to doing when his warping got the better of him and he went to the mall for leftover excedrin or whatever. Once, he had found some vicadin, and took two, but then very nearly passed out. He'd wanted more, but resisted the urge, not knowing that he had encountered a powerful addictive drug and defeated the craving the very first time.

"Eh.....su'e." Koh replied shakily as he slowly and nervously walked over to a large and comfy looking chair just across from the couch that Warp was on. Gaahhh.....I fo'go' to ask 'er abou' 'er though' pa''erns.... He thought , remembering that when he'd searched the area for sentient life and he'd found her brain waves, they were very strange and highly unlike what he normally sensed from normal organic beings.
"No' tryin' to be a botheh, bu' wo's goin on wif yer though' pa''erns? I used meh telekine'ic abili'ies to sense yeh, but i' was strange. Any reason why?" He didn't want to sound rude or intrusive, but when he'd used his abilities he didn't know that she was only curious and looking for company. He also didn't want to offend herby saying her thought patterns were strange and different, bit they were, so he had to. He, too, was curious of this.

"Thought patterns?" Berry asked before getting what he was saying. "Oh! My brain waves!" She exclaimed. "Well, it's kind of an odd story, but here goes. Just, please don't freak out on me. I've had it happen once already, though it wasn't in a scared way." She took a deep breath, and began.
"When I was born, my body was severely disabled. I would have spent my whole life in a hospital. My parents were approached by some people who were heading a program. The offer was that I would be able to live life free of hospital help, and even have a job the moment I graduated from the schooling. Long story short, my parents said yes, handed me over, and I grew up inside of a shell. I was with a class of kids just like me. After I graduated, I chose to be connected to a sky scraper. They hooked me up to this one. The skyscraper name I gave you is the name I was given when I was attatched to the building. XS is be my partner's first initial and my first initial, though there's an "X" because I don't have a partner right now. 100 means I'm part of the first 100 shellpeople, and SS is sky scraper. So, we have XS-100-SS."

Warp closed his eyes and leaned his head back, not really listening to proceedings and absently stroking the ferret while he waited for the throbbing to subside. There was little hope his headache would completely vanish, but he could have the hope that it would at the very least lessen.
"XS.... Extra Small.... Excess.... Excessive smallness.... You're a midget of a program, aren't you? How big is the central processer you run everything through? Yes, yes, you're a brain, but that makes you a living hard disk, not a processer, unless.... Well, okay, that works too. Cerebrum would be the motherboard, the hippocampus region specifically would replace RAM, while the cerebellum would act as your CPU. How much of your brain stem is left? Don't answer. Freaking ow. My brain hurts." Warp laid himself along the couch, feeling the first effects of the medication as each throb was just barely less powerful than the last. "I'll ask for details later."

After hearing out the second long and complicated explanatio he'd had to today, Koh was a bit surprised, but at the same time it fit perfectly into why her brain waves were different. She wasn't completely organic, but since she wasn't completely a machine either, her brain waves were detectable.
"So.....yer......partially mecha, bu' yer also par' o'ganic?" He asked in a curious and quizzical tone. Koh had never encountered a cyborg like being such as this before. Perhaps he could help her out somehow. Maybe find another CPU to hook her up to. Judging by what she'd said, though, such a CPU would be of very high price and even higher quality. Either way, Koh had to help her out. No use in her staying in this frozen old building forever, right?
"Tha' explains why yer brain waves were so diff'r'nt. I 'ave a question, though. Would yeh be int'r'sted i' ge'in ou'a 'ere?"

She looked at Warp, seemingly offended at first, then smiled. "I actually have more memory than half the computers in this building combined. Like I said, "X" is where the first initial of my partner's first name would go, and "S" is because my name is Strawberry." She giggled a bit. "And, my body is completely intact. What you see before you is how I think I would look, were my body normal, though the age is off...." She then turned to Koh. "And yes, I've given thought to leaving, but it's not possible right now. There needs to be a life-support system if I'm to survive for a long period of time. But, it's alright. A friend of mine said she'd try to modify a plane that I could 'be.'"

"Okay. Yeah.... Stop talking technical. I never should have started. By the Abyssal Conflagration, I think there's a crack in my skull...." He wouldn't be surprised. He didn't quite remember the impact, which could point to....
No, he wasn't even going to think in-depth diagnosis. He couldn't remember the impact, and so it was probably really bad. There, simple enough. He almost smiled as he noticed that the headache was throbbing within normal bounds now. Almost. That didn't mean it did not hurt.
His hand again strayed to stroking the ferret. He was a cute little guy, really. Maybe he'd see if he could get out without Berry noticing the fuzzball gone. But first things first. "Does the building have a first-aid station? I think there's more to this than just the pain. I wouldn't be surprised if my skull really is cracked. I can't remember hitting at all."
