"I really don't remember this area of the building being so enormous." Larius sprinted to the nearest cubicle and picked up a journal that was turned to the date that the building was closed. "Dude, look at this..." Larius shouted to Gyre and then he showed the little book to the galehound. The entry stated why the building was closed and at the end of the entry it seemed as if it was cut off. At the bottom of the entry were the words "BEWARE".
"Now THAT is pretty creepy..." Larius said chillingly.

Gyre's ears perked as he walked closer, but he immediately frowned. "Um...Larius," he said slowly. "Um, between you and me, I have a little trouble reading English. See um...I learned a different written language when I grew up, same words, but all written in symbolic and complicated runes. So um..." a little color came to his face and he grimaced, "could you just...tell me what it says?"
Gyre flashed a look around over his shoulder. Nothing like admitting you've only had up to a fourth grade education to calm down a freakish moment.

((Wow we are on the third page))
Larius just stared at him with a dead serious face and began to tell Gyre what it said. "BEWARE. Is all that is you need to worry about..." Before he could finish there was a loud moan in the distance from some large creature. Larius turned the other direction and grabbed Gyres paw and then he bolted out of the room as fast as he could.

((You owe me a cookie!))
"Yipe!" Yes, Gyre let out a sound exactly like that as he was yanked in one direction, his arm nearly pulled from his socket and he nearly smashing to the ground, but he scrambled to keep his feet under him and keep up with Larius, landing in the other room with him.
"Ah heck! This sucks, man! I have a kid at home! I can't die here!" he started. Then he lowered his voice significantly. "Um...any idea where we could get a gun? Then we can go out and kill whatever that thing is..."

"Normally I would be all for killing that thing and ending this chase once and for all. But I wonder if anyone is left after that thing started to attack..." Larius finished running through the hall that was leading right into a clearing that was once the offices cafeteria. Larius turned to Gyre and said to him "do you think that any food could be still here in the kitchen? I don't think that you will die here because I know you and you won't give up without a fight." He snickered and proceeded into the kitchen and disappeared from sight.

Gyre cringed a little as he ran after Larius, stopping with him and gasping in a sharp breath. "Well um...thanks?" he started at the compliment. "Hey wait! Ah, crap."
Larius had disappeared into the kitchen. Gyre turned around slowly to face the cafeteria, the floor ice-layered with broken tables and benches. He didn't like to think about all of the bad scenarios that could happen here, with whatever was coming. "Stupid dragon, I'll kill him... He'd better hurry up, this is freaking cold! Why are we even here again?"

With a loud clap Larius generated electricity that lite up the entire facility. He looked at the fridge and then tore the door from its fringes. "Wow there is actually some food in here!" He reached in the fridge and pulled out what appeared to be a cheese burger and then offered it to Gyre. "Dude I bet it is still good all we need to do is heat it up." Larius chuckled a bit and then a loud crash happened just outside the door to the kitchen.
"Heads up Gyre!" after Larius said that he hurled the burger through the air and then it went through the wall and collided with the thing that created the noise. "Well so much for lunch." and with that being said he rushed through the next doors and began to run up some more stairs.

Gyre swore and spun after him. "Slow down, you idiot! What the heck was that and where are we going and give me one good reason why I shouldn't just leave you here to be dinner for that thing!" the hound shouted as he ran after the dragon. But there was nothing for it--he had no choice but to run like there was no tomorrow. Because he did not want whatever that thing was to catch him alone.
"Retarded cold-blooded reptile!"

Down the cold dark hallway a light began to get brighter and larger. At the end Larius was powering up to attack the creature, the electricity was visible at this point. "Yo Gyre who are you calling retarded, I was just luring that thing to this spot where electricity can be conducted easier and deadlier." And with that being said the creature stormed into the hallway growling at the light. Larius put his hands over his head to pull the electricity into a ball. He then hurled the ball towards the creature and it then collapsed from the intensity.
"Now that is how you fry a hairball."

((Heh, can you describe said furry beastie?))
Gyre skidded to a halt in his run and only had time to dodge to one side, press himself flat against the wall, before a blast of light streaked at...at whatever that thing was! Gyre didn't get more than the barest glimpse of fur, though whatever color it was had been bleached white by the light.
The galehound staggered, pressing a hand over one eye--did I mention that Gyre only had one eye? Minor detail... he had an eye patch over the other. Anyways, he was blinded temporarily, and as the effects of the energy blast faded, he managed to wince his eyes open again and squint at the creature before him.

((I'm guessing that it is a man-eating yeti that has been in the tower for many years))
"Gyre get down." Larius shouted as he bounded toward the giant yeti and tackled it to the ground. He then got up and dashed for Gyre and said calmly "Lets get away from that thing and find a place to rest so you can get your sight back." After that Larius blasted a hole in the ceiling and the two of them went up to the next level.
They were safe......for now...

Gyre gave a twisted grimace, and followed Laris up the hole with a rush of wind to send him skyward and land on the floor above. He backed up from the area of floor where, below, he knew the strange...thing was. Thinking back, it had looked a little like a polar bear or...something. It was huge and it walked on two legs and it had white fur, that's all he knew.
"Larius...." he groaned. He wasn't quite whining, but Gyre was seriously sick of this. He might be as much of a man as anyone else, but that didn't mean he liked to flirt with death, let alone blood-thirsty, raving, giant humanoid mammals that stalked frozen buildings. "Can we...hurry and get whatever the heck we came here for and get out of here?" he growled through clenched teeth. "I swear I can't take any more of this!"

"I think that we are on the top floor now." Larius looked around the now almost vacant area that they entered via floor. He saw something glimmer in one of the corner wastebaskets and then he pulled the item out. "This is it, this is the thing that I lent to my pal all those years ago."

"Great! And now the shiny doohickey has been found, let's skedaddle! Now." He grabbed Laris' arm in a bit of a vice grip--proof of frustration--and shoved him in no particular direction to emphasize his point. Well, no, Gyre was shoving him towards a frosty window that spanned the wall. "Let's just fly out of here. Well, heh, you can fly. I can cushion my fall I think. Let's go."
Gyre sent a shockwave of compressed air spiraling at the window and the glass shattered. They were now looking down at the ground from about 20 or 30 or 40 stories up. It was hard to judge distances exactly when everything below was white, featureless snow.
He managed a passing curiosity about the object, though. "And before I jump to my death, what's that thing do, anyways?"

After the question was asked the Yeti that was trailing them busted into the room and gave a mighty roar. Larius pulled out the item and it looked like a sword hilt. "You want to know what this does right? Well I'll show you." And with that Larius's eyes started to glow yellow and an electrical current flowed into the hilt. A long electical blade appeared where there had been nothing before. Larius then dashed towards the Yeti and then with a flash the yeti fell in two. "This is the hilt that my father created for my electrical power. I can fashion a sword blade with me electricity."
