The view was spectacular, as a lone figure approaches what appeared to be a large structure that is protruding from the vast wastland covered in snow. The figure got to the base of the tower and removed what appeared to be a cloak. The figure took form of a dragon that was gold. Who else but Larius!! He looked up at the tower and gaped at its size. He yodled, then sat down in the snow and ice and continued to stare up at the tower.aggolem

Yodeled? There were yodelers in these parts? Oh no, oh great. If there was one thing Gyre hated it was that sound grating across his ears. But he was making his way back home to the hidden Fallen Village and his son there. The fastest way was straight and that included passing the white spire that was the Crystal Tower.
A black-furred hound with dark blue runes over his fur moved slowly through the deep snow and through the evergreen trees. As he approached the clearing around the tower, he looked up, his blue eyes fixing on the large golden dragon.
"Ah...even better," he muttered sarcastically, coming to a stop and wondering how this would hinder his travels.

Larius tilted his head back to have a look a the creature that spoke and chuckled. "Yo Gyre, long time no see." he said in a loud tone that shook the towers base. With no hesitation Larius got off the ground and brushed off the snow. He looked at the galehound and said in a lower and friendlier tone "So have you been here before?"

((Ahh! I haven't posted in so long! Sorry, man!))
Gyre scowled and shuffled his feet in the snow, looking up again at the white tower. "Only in passing," he replied softly, almost wistfully. Well he'd often been curios and wanted to go into the tower. But he wasn't stupid, and he sure didn't have a death wish. After all, he had a kid at home. A kid who needed him because his mother sure as heck wouldn't be able to settle down long enough to handle the kid...
"And yea...how many years has it been exactly?" he asked lightly. "Must be quite a few. Forgive me but I think I actually forgot your name."

“No harm, its Larius and I have forgotten just how long it has been since the crash on the side of the mountain. My neck is still stiff from the accident.” Larius put his right hand on the side of his chin and with a quick jerk a loud CCCCCCRRRRRRRAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK he popped his neck. The tower shook from the magnitude of the sound. So how have you been Gyre?

Gyre shrugged. "I dunno. I have a kid now. And...the mother only visits like once monthly. But I found more fellhounds, more of my kind. It's great really!" Eying the tower again, Gyre frowned. It had once been a sky scraper, hadn't it? Probably just a casual building full of offices and broken down computers. "Have you ever been in there, dragon?" he asked. "I mean aside from the crumbling floors and such you probably wouldn't have anything to worry about."

Larius turned toward the frozen fortress and almost looked sick. He hesitated and began exlpaining why he was there. "I was here once while it was still in working order. It was before the place froze over, I was visiting a friend of mine on the top floor. I was letting him borrow one of my special items from my bag. He needed it for a project he was working on. And when I went back for the item he left it on the floor and the place was closed down."
Larius turned back to Gyre and said "That's why I am here, to get it back."

Gyre nodded slowly, looking up at the tower still. "Hmm...sounds like you just might need the help of someone who can fit through tighter spaces maybe. Or maybe...someone who's a wind user?" Gyre presented his open palms to Larius, and as he spoke black wind whipped around his hands and up his wrists. "Heh, then again maybe I won't be any good. But I'd like to come along if that's all right."

"The offer is much appreciated..." Larius paused and turned back to Gyre and grabbed and shook his right hand. "As far as tight spaces go you'd be on your own, because I've got these." Larius turned and flexed his wings. Turned back and said "sure you can leave that kid alone for long?" Larius turned back to the tower and proceeded to the front door and opened it.

Gyre shrugged. "Well I've left him alone for three days already, and the plan was that I'd get there by tonight. Guess this just means I'll get there by early tomorrow morning. He'll be all right, he's with fellhounds." Gyre smirked suddenly at this, filled with joy as always at the thought of so many of his kind gathered in one place.
He followed Larius to the door, ears back as he listened to the creak and crack of ice on the opening door. And as he entered he wondered how it could possibly be colder inside. "Creepy," he mused as he eyed the ruined lobby. Ice sickles struck down from the ceiling to the floor below and snow covered the ground like a thin layering of dust. The ceiling had caved in in places, smashing the receptionist's desk. A rat scuttled past their feet.

Larius looked around and then turned towards the elevator and lifted a dusty plate of some kind. Larius inhaled and blew off the dust revealling a sign that read "OUT OF SERVICE" Larius said "No kidding, the power hasen't been on in years." He opened the doors to the shaft and pulled the wires that were hanging in front of him and the elevator descended.
Larius opened a panel in the elevator and sent electricity through the line and the thing came to life. "Going up!" Larius joked.

Gyre raised his eyebrows. "You do electricity?" he asked as he stepped into the elevator after him. Then he stopped and stepped back out. "Ah...how about you go up that way? I'll take the stairs," he said with a small embarrassed grin. "I uh...I've had bad enough experiences with elevators, and I really don't trust that one not to get stuck. Might as well have at least one of us on the outside just in case."
He shrugged and headed for the stairwell, signs leading him there. "I'll race ya even! Those elevators are slow, haven't you noticed?" And he shot off at a run.

"Slow huh..." Larius looked up and noticed that the top of the elevator was missing and stared up the elevator shaft . "Why did I even get the elevator?" Larius squatted and leapt through the topless elevator, he used his claws and latched on the side of the shaft and began to climb. "We'll see who gets there first."

((Heh, well I kinda doubt anyone could climb faster than someone could just sprint up the stairs but... Then again, there's a lot of stairs.))
Gyre hit the stairs at an easy jog, taking them two at a time but not bothering to really tire himself out over it. Floor after floor he went, up and up. His calves and thighs were burning by the fourth floor, so he summoned bursts of wind to spur him on. And at last he came out at the top floor, running a hand through his hair. "Hmm...now where'd that dragon go?"

The lights flickered and the door the elevator shaft busted open and Larius emerged from the smoking doorway with a cough. "I guess I used some of my electricity to open these rusty doors." Larius said to Gyre as he stepped into view. I don't believe that this is the top floor, Larius pointed a claw at a huge hole in the stairs that were leading up. "What you dashed up was only the first flight of stairs."
