"The Akora...?" A single tear fell from Hikari's face, she stared down at the floor, blankly. "That kitsune... Gave life to our crops, she betrayed her own kind... To give us health and happiness..." She dropped to her knees, and started crying too. She didn't feel anger, at all, just sadness.
"They... They attacked this shrine... Burned the village and farms...! Killed innocents... and... my mother... They killed her..." That last statement didn't make much sense, unless Hikari was able to live that long, was she? She had too be...
"I... I..." Her vison blurred up completely, her eyes too wet to see through.

Kasumi shyed away from the statue, back pressing against the wall, she didn't know if she should be here. She had a bad vibe about this place. Suddenly, black robed hands wrapped about her mouth. A gruff voice called to Hikari," Hikari!? How dare you allow a stranger, none the less... an Akora into this shrine?!"
Kasumi's tears rolled over the robe as the elder pulled her back. Her straw hat fell onto the floor. Her pure white fur and lavender eyes were marks of her heritage, as well as the tatoo that was now clearly visible on her arm, as the old cat rolled up her sleeve, poking the tender spot," Did you not see she was of the traitorious Akora, Hikari?!"

Hikari glanced up slowly, traitorous? Yes... That was true, but this...? She'd done nothing wrong. Hikari's hands tightened into fists, this hole place was a remnant of the war. "... I don't care... My Mother didn't care, my mother lead you... How could... you..."
She shook her head slowly, it didn't matter, unlike her mother Hikari was no leader. She just served the shrine, a shrine without protectors or warriors because there was none left, if her mother hadn't died Hikari would be giving out orders... But, she couldn't... She had such a low satus here... "What're you going to do with her?!"

The elder scowled," What do you think? Lock her up, foolish child." The dark robed cat started pulling Kasumi away, her white robe contrasting his black robe. She didn't struggle, her long tail even dragged on the floor. Her lanvender hues closed as the elder started to pull her down the stairs. Her was mummbleing to himself. "Hrrmmff. Foolish Hikari taking her into this sacred room and ugh! An Akora in these walls...? It's insulting!" He snarled the last part. Kasumi spoke, her voice muffled from his hands," Your aura tells me that you.." He raised his hand and slapped her across the face, spinning her around on her foot. The white cat's cheek was pink with the force," I don't want to hear your Akora nonsense! Auras do not exsist, it is only a myth among the shrine!" Kasumi whimpered softly, eyes shiny with water.

Hikari watched as Kasumi was dragged away, she didn't feel anger towards her, nor hate. What had happened was in the past, she blinked slowly, and opened her eyes, everything was black... When she lifted her hand in front of her face she saw a outline of blue energy, and glanced down at the floor seeing the same where Kasumi was... and purple where the elder stood... Was this...?
She needed to cause a distraction.
Below there would be the sound of shattering glass, lots of glass breaking. Like an explosion, the smell of smoke drifted from the upper hall.

The elder turned and let go of Kasumi, his first priority was the shrine. The white cat was let go, tumbling head over heels after the old cat, despite Kasumi's gracefulness, she couldn't regain her balance.
The white feline tumbled onto her back and thumped at the middle of the stairs. She nreathed raggedly, trying to regain her posture.

The upper hall was burned, fire here and there, on the statue too. The sword display cases were broken, three of the swords scattered on the floor, the white and gold one tightly in Hikari's hand, her eyes were completely blue and the markings on her arms were lit up.
She turned slowly, slashing out at the air, the gold satue shattered into tiny flaming pieces, spreading the fire across the upper hall and smoke into the air. She disappeared, the elder would've seen her, but she would've disappeared before he had a chance to do or say anything, she reappeared next to Kasumi helping her up.
"I'm going to take you home... To your parents okay...?"

Kasumi nodded slowly. The white feline was blank, the auras that surronded this place had suddenly turned shadowy and scary. Her white fur bristled as she looked for the elder and then struggled up, knees wobbling. Her tail limped as the smaller feline stood up and nodded her head toward the direction the elder had dashed so quickly to.

Hikari grabbed Kasumi's hand and there was a loud bang and a white flash, making them disappear completely. Everything moved much quicker around them that it had the first time Hikari did this, until it all slowed... and they were somewhere else, far away from Hikari's shrine in Tokyo... Too a place, Kasumi would know...

Kasumi's purple eyes widened, stumbling forward, pupils searching the pink flower petals swirling about the wind. She reached up touching the silky-soft petals. "Sakura... Hikari, why'd you some to this shrine?" She asked softly, brow sliding up under her white fur, purple orbs moving about the black barked cherry blossom trees lining the stone walk way. The light beige soil underneath the gray-blue stones were littered with pink petals. It was simple, nothing really compared to Hikari's gold shrine. Kasumi looked up the the ever blue sky, cotton fibers scattering across the sky. No sile was on her face, she was to busy trying to figure out Hikari's decision.

"What other place was there to go to...? I don't have the energy to go home... and do you really think I could go back home after that...?" Her eyes were orange again, the markings had stopped glowing and the sword she was holding was dropped, even through it was still in it's sheath, she never thought of using it.
"My mother would've done the same... She trusted the Akora... She knew that the attack wasn't mean't to happen, even through she fought and died..."

Kasumi half closed her eyes and shrugged. "I'm sorry... I never thought of that....My family was really desprate back then." She didn't bring up the fact that she thought it was to long ago for her mom to only be her mom. Shouldn't it be her great-something grandma? She shook it off and gestured to the stone monument at the end. "Well, as long as we're here, why don't we check out the Akora shrine. I'm... sorry it didn't go well at your family, but... maybe..." She shook her head and said," Well, actually, if you don't want to see it, that's okay." Her lavender eyes looked down, obviously crestfallen. The white cat eyes moved up to Hikari's orange hues. She breathed silently, water dried in her fur.

"No... I'll see... It, the war was a long time ago... It doesn't matter... What happened, it's over and in the past, it's useless to linger... Besides, your parents are here right?" She glanced away from Kasumi and towards the ground, closing her eyes and looking towards the Akora Shrine.
"I can still smell the smoke and hear the screams... Hear my mother's voice telling me not too cry, but it's over... Let's just go... I'll see The Akora Shrine... and if anything happens to me in there, I'll accept it... I deserve it..." Hikari turned slowly, opening her eyes and walking down the stone path towards the Akora shrine.

Kasumi lead the way, ears flattened. She tried not to listen to Hikari, she tried to focus more on the shrine ahead. The simple stone paveing lead to the deep blue-gray stone, nestled between two cherry blossom trees. The white feline bowed her head, Slipping the dirty gold hat from her head and to her side. The messy bun wavered, but held as Kasumi closed her lavender hues. She paused and then got up, pressing the hat back to her head and then letting it slide off and to her back. Kasumi gestured to the moss covered stone. It was life sized, sure, but the cat that it held likeness to was very small. The stone cat sat in the stone enclosure in what seemed to be a smooth grass. Her kimono bunched about, so you couldn't see her sitting legs. The eyes looked defiant and frisky, bright with humor as the roundish pupils seemed to stare into those who gazed upon it. Her hair fell over her shoulders, but into a bun at the end. The huge sleeves slkid to her elbows, revealing her thin arms as they clutched what seemed to be a black sword sheathe. Kasumi dare not touch the sacred shrine," This is m'great-something grandmother." The family resemblence was painfully obvious.

Hikari blinked. "She looks beautiful!" Her vison turned black, trying to sense energy again, to see if there was anything here. But if there was any energy coming from it, she couldn't tell, she was being blocked and could only see her own, Kasumi's and the energy from her sword.
"She must've been a great person... A great Hero..."
